Countess Elizabeth Báthory de Ecsed (Alžbeta Bátoriová in Slovak, Báthory Erzsébet in Hungarian) was born on the 7th of August 1560 and passed away on the 21st of August, 1614. On this anniversary of her death, 396 years after her reign, I give to you Elizabeth Bathory by `mehmeturgut. His incredible depiction of the "Blood Countess" and/or the "Bloody Lady of Čachtice" reminds me of why I read so many books about her while growing up.
